黄釉器始烧于明代早期，以弘治时期娇黄釉最为知名，清代承袭烧造。因[黄]与[皇] 同音，故黄釉是皇家至尊之代表颜色，极为高贵。如本品之黄釉碗，黄釉发色纯正雅致，宝光内含。通体素净，不假纹饰，纯以天然釉色之美取胜，观之大感繁华过境，心素如简，却又不失端庄秀丽。整器胎质细腻坚实，胎土淘炼精细，质白缜密，坚硬纯净，更兼釉质细润，紧密熔于胎骨之上，浑然一体，为一件难得的康熙御窑单色釉精品。碗撒口，深弧腹，至底渐收，下承圈足，线条优雅，优雅别致:外施以法琅黄釉，内施白釉，釉面匀净，色泽淡雅，正合《陶雅》[康雍蛋黄器，色具鲜明]之赞誉。底施白釉，修胎自然流畅，形制规整，底书[康熙御制]四字楷书款。
