|来源：美国收藏家重要收藏||商代兽面夔龙纹青铜觚，商代晚期，约公元前11世纪。中国早在公元前2000年已进入青铜时代。及至商、周两代，青铜工艺更进入全盛期。青铜器皿种类丰富，尤以酒器居多。此觚属礼器的一种，是饮酒器。喇叭口，高圈足，中腰细长可以把手。主体纹饰为兽面纹，又称饕餮纹，附以夔龙纹饰，为商代青铜器常见纹饰。饕餮是传统中一只贪食凶狂的怪兽，传说其食人未咽害及其身，故饕餮有首无身。此纹饰分布于腰部至足部，空隙地方填以细雷纹作地纹。图像线条、结构繁复，风格庄严神秘。器身铸有棱脊四道，为商代晚期青铜器的特色；它一方面可增加块范接合处的装饰效果，另方面则加强器形之稳重庄严感。
