Description

此砚以汾河水中常年所凝沉泥，风干烧制而成，砚质坚硬。系“虾头红、鳝鱼黄”澄泥砚，澄泥之所以呈现不同的颜色，是因为烧制时不同温度所致。清代《砚小史》云：“澄泥之最上者澄泥黄。黄质黑章名鳝鱼，黄者色若鳝鱼之背，又称鳝肚黄，较细腻发墨，用一匙之水，经旬不涸，一窟之墨，盛暑不干。”（配黄花梨砚盒）
