此唐卡主尊为释迦摩尼，整幅唐卡以矿物质颜料描绘。唐卡亦称布画，是西藏特有的艺术作品。可以彩绘、刺绣、堆绫等多种艺术手法创作。彩画作品使用矿、植物颜料，调以动物胶、牛胆汁等，以保持色泽鲜艳，久不褪色。作品四周镶以锦边，上下贯以木轴，以便于悬挂供奉和宣讲。题材有佛、菩萨、佛母、护法金刚、高僧、祖师传记等，现代作品也有反映民间风俗者。
