乌金釉始于明代成化年间而以清康熙朝作品为代表，是一种名贵的高温颜色釉。配制乌金釉需要使用浓度较高的优质青料与紫金釉混合，釉中除含有大量铁分，还有一定锰和钴等有色元素。其主要采用景德镇附近所产的乌金土制釉，故称乌金釉。
