五彩瓷器始自元代，至清代康熙时，五彩器主要是在白瓷釉上彩绘，并以其绚丽的色彩、精湛的绘画，成为当时名贵的瓷器品种，素为藏家所重。拍品为一对瓷板，均以五彩描绘果鸟纹，构图精巧，绘画生动，色彩艳丽。其中一件瓷板上的花鸟纹与上海文物商店及中国国家博物馆收藏的康熙时期五彩花鸟盘相似，可作参照。
