香盘作海棠型，平折腹，通体施黑漆，部分处掺入金刚细沙及螺钿细沙，故于黑漆表面生莹点。盘心内嵌软螺钿，纹饰为清代常见纹饰之“婴戏图”，构图舒朗。螺钿上还以工具细刻衣纹线条，相当细致，漆面开蛇腹断纹，背后阴刻“大明永乐年制”楷书款。
