款识：佩恒仁兄大人正 潘龄皋 时年七十有九|钤印：潘龄皋印（白） 乙未翰林（朱） |潘龄皋（1867-1954），字锡九，号葛城居士，河北保定人。清末、民国年间著名书法家，与谭延闿齐名，时有“南谭北潘”之论。1894年考中举人，翌年（乙未）殿试，获二甲十三名点为翰林。授翰林院庶吉士。1898年赴甘肃，任隆德县知县。此后，又出任张掖、皋兰知县，秦州、肃州知州，不久又被任命为兰州知府等。
