|鱼藻典出《诗经》，是《小雅？鱼藻之什》中一篇，借鱼儿在藻之乐暗喻武王饮酒的平和安乐，进一步赞颂当时百姓安居乐业的祥和气氛。庄子道家思想中，“鱼”亦是其向往自由自在思想内核的重要体现，最著名的便是“知鱼之乐”。以鱼水之乐为纹饰，在宋代定窑等名窑中即以颇为常见。其所绘鱼纹分别为鲭鱼、鱼、鲤鱼、鳜鱼四种，取其谐音，寓意“清白礼贵”。
