|此器以竹根为材，圆雕采药仙人形象。仙人宽额丰颊，茂髯披胸，束发冠帻，广袍长袖，眉目慈善，笑容可掬。其足蹬草屡，撩衣露膝倚坐于石上，右手持仙菊，左手抚衣，似在小憩。其衣纹笑貌无不带有仙逸之感，亦有安身乐命隐士之风。竹雕上敛下广，身躯欹仄一侧，就竹根之形势而定姿态。整器器形小巧玲珑，包浆匀净，刀工粗犷古拙，又不失精致，人物雕刻惟妙惟肖，五官落刀精准，颇具神韵。|参阅：上海博物馆编，《竹镂文心 竹刻珍品特集》，上海书画出版社，2012年3月，129页
