Exceptional statue depicting the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha - China, Song dynasty - polychrome and golden stucco and wood. Rare sculpture in polychrome stucco and gilding depicting the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha in the most ancient iconography (known as the Treasure of the earth). Unusual work for the excellent execution of the whole and for the contrast between the lively polychrome of the mount and the golden waterfall of the dress. The deity sits majestically on a horse covered in wallpaper and stands out for the aura of austere nobility. Condition Measurements: 48 x 52 h. - partially restored.
