拍品属永乐御窯雄俊大器，存世极为罕见，能见诸私人收藏者实属凤毛麟角，寥若晨星。拍品形制、纹饰及尺寸与北京故宫博物院藏明永乐青花折枝花纹八方烛台相同，器形仿自阿拉伯铜器，结构复杂，纹饰华美。烛台八方式，通体以青花装饰，台座面环饰海浪纹、缠枝莲纹，腹部饰八组折枝花卉纹，藤蔓缭绕，台座下凹以承烛泪，底中空，足墙外撇，足部露胎处隐现火石红斑，时代特质明显。拍品造型美观，釉面润泽通透，纹饰描绘细腻，层次错落有致，青花发色艳丽，是为一件永乐朝难得的宫廷精美之器。$烛台的使用源於印度佛教，它既是寺内照明之用具，也是佛供案上的供器。佛教认为，在佛塔、佛像、经卷前燃灯，能护大功德；又因灯明可破暗为明，故佛教也将灯明比喻佛法与智慧，喻智慧照破愚痴。
