A white jade carving of a sampan with a lady and boy


19th centuryDeftly carved with a lady kneeling by a bucket while the oarsman rows steadilly at the bow, two smaller buckets at the stern, the finely detailed netting and shelter carefully incised, the stone of even pale-white tone, wood stand. 12.5cm (4 7/8in) wide. (2).
