In very good to fine condition, with light scuffing and moderate edge wear, and light contrast to Frey's signature against the dark background. The record is included. This is a first pressing of The Eagles' iconic Hotel California album (Asylum Records 7E-1084 SP). Etched into the 'dead wax' matrix areas on the record are: "7E 1084 A-1RE SP, 'Is It 6 O'Clock Yet?'" and "7E-1084 B-1RE SP, 'V.O.L. Is Five Piece Live.'" The second of these 'secret messages' references the album's sixth track, 'Victim of Love,' which was recorded in a live studio session with no overdubbing. The iconic album topped the charts for a total of eight weeks, and won Grammy Awards for the singles 'Hotel California' (Record of the Year) and 'New Kid in Town' (Best Arrangement for Voices).
