19th Century French Phillipe H. Mourey (1840-1910) bronzed gilt metal bracket table clock. Urn shaped finial with lion heads with rings in their mouth, caryatid columns beneath finials supporting the body, atop a raised footed base, traditional Sevres hand painted blue & gold floral porcelain plaque- cupid in the clouds to clock face. Japy Freres clock movement, touch mark to back. Stamped "2791" to clock movement, the inner clock wall, and the outer base. Hallmarked "7 PH. Mourey 71", dating this piece to the seventh month of 1871. Measures 9-1/2" W x 5" D x 15" H. Weighs 13lbs.,12oz. No pendulum, loose screw to one caryatid. THIRD PARTY SHIPPING REQUIRED. 5/27 edit: While this piece has no pendulum, it still appears to want to keep time. We sat this clock on a folding table while we described and inspected it. Even from the slight shifting of the table, we heard this clock dinging for days to come.
