Beautiful hardwood horseshoe back low chairs. What could easily be dismissed as an elegant floral scrollwork design- a stylized dragon adorn each side, seemingly in pursuit and 2 dragons on the front, each facing a flaming pearl. Flared, inverted raised wings to each side- reminiscent of those on an alter table. Raised on claw and ball feet. Purchased secondhand in China in the 1960's.
