|官箱呈方形，周身髹饰黑色大漆，色泽沉穆，包浆厚重。盖顶微拱起，边侧线脚流畅。正面镶有海棠花形面叶和云头拍子，皆保存完好，历史气息浓郁。两侧面安弧形提环，便于搬移。箱体各面镶嵌竹编，既美观又减轻官箱重量，便于旅途中使用。正面竹编挡板可拆卸，内为书箱和暗屉，亦都髹饰黑色大漆。整器造型简练，古朴大方，工艺考究，从尺寸及形制来看，当时主要用来存放文件簿册或珍贵细软类物品。
