戈是商周流行的一种兵器，以玉为戈始见于二里头文化，其后流行于商、周两代。由于玉石本身质地坚脆，无法将玉戈用于实战搏击，且大量出土的玉戈无使用痕迹，可知商周时期的玉戈应是一种仪仗器，有“化干戈为玉帛”之说。此件作品即是以“戈”之形状所创作的当代仿古玉雕精品，用料为和田玉籽料，白度上佳，油性佳美，堪比羊脂，为和田玉籽料之上品。作者以流畅的线条及凸凹的弧面来表现，玉戈呈弧形，上饰回首夔龙纹，精细唯美，富有战汉古韵。吴金星：中国玉石雕刻大师款识：吴
