Qianlong six-character mark and of the periodGlobular vase with a tall cylindical neck, decorated in underglaze-blue and copper-red with the Three Abundances (sanduo) pomegranate, finger citron and peach, above a band of upright lotus petal lappets, around the neck trefoil leaves between floral garland borders around shoulder and neck, the mouth rim encircled by a band of meander.The imperial Qianlong seal mark of this vase has a rare variation in the spelling of the sign "Qian" and was an early mark used at Jingdezhen when Tang Ying was superintendent of the Imperial kilns (see Geng Baochang, Ming Qing ciqi jianding, Hong Kong 1993, p. 344).
