A silver and gilt oval verge watch in the 17th century style apparently unmarked to the oval case, the upper and lower white metal panels, finely engraved with figures, putto, floral sprays and architectural features etc, the sides well pierced with scrolling foliage, enclosing a watch of conforming shape, silver chapter ring, engraved brass ground, hands lacking, the later movement inscribed Ben Brock Bristol and numbered 1469 Overall length (excluding loop): 65mm
