|这件交尾龙笔架为白玉质地，玉质凝润，该笔架采用圆雕工艺技法，所雕的是两龙相交，独角四足，顾首而望，之间为置笔的空间，龙爪和龙身为支笔之处，制作十分巧妙，是较为高档的文房用具。|交龙是较高级的传统图案，本是天子仪仗中九种大旗图案之一，《周礼?春官?司常》曰“日月为常，交龙为旂。”而《释名?释兵》中云:“交龙为旂:旂，倚也。画作两龙相依倚也。通以赤色为之，无文采，诸侯所建也。”预示天子之师的兵威，文人用此题材，意喻文武全才，由于自古有非军功不封爵之说，也寓物主受爵而有封疆之意。
