款识：宗玉 |笔筒外壁以透雕、浮雕兼用之法饰渔家乐图，取河岸一隅为景，渔夫泛舟江上，通景雕刻山水人物。山石错落林立分布，其上盘曲松枫翠柏，松针散如扇面，枫叶厚实浓密，远处更有草木姿态秀逸；山林之中村落掩映，宛若人间仙境！人物拾阶而上，赏景吟诗，情趣融融。人物刻划生动准确，迎风垂柳，飘向一侧。整体刀工爽利冼炼，非俗工所能为，为早期嘉定竹刻之精品。全器雕刻流畅，构图饱满，层次清晰，画意生动活泼，生活气息浓厚。|顾珏，字宗玉，活跃于康、雍年间，上海嘉定人。工刻竹。继承嘉定竹派朱三松、沈兼神髓，又不落前人窠臼而独立门庭。以巧穷毫发为经营方略，另辟蹊径，自成一格，引领玲珑巧致一派。
