Description

|黄杨木雕布袋和尚面相和蔼，笑容可掬，大耳垂肩，神情自得。身披宽袖僧袍，袒胸露腹，衣褶层迭，大皱小纹相互交错，流畅生动，颇有吴带之风。布袋和尚右手抓扁担，后搭一布袋，跣足而立。造像为整段黄杨木雕刻而成，木质细腻，色泽黄褐，包浆自然，光泽熠熠。|布袋和尚为五代后梁时期之僧人，因常背负一只布袋而得名。据传他圆寂前留一偈语：“弥勒真弥勒，化身千百亿，时时示时人，时人自不识”，契此，世人以其为弥勒菩萨化身。
