|来源：美国费城Freeman's Auctioneers，2014.9.13.Chinese art ＆antiques LOT205；||此尊观音头戴五叶宝冠，面颊丰满，胸前饰璎珞，衣纹随形体处理，简洁流畅，善跏趺坐于神兽背上，神兽双目圆睁，咧嘴，观音通体敷金彩，虽历经数百年的时代变迁，尚存华彩瑰丽，是件难得的木雕造像精品，极富收藏价值。|骑犼观音（梵名Simhanada—Avalokitesvara）为观音菩萨的化身之一，是为降伏一切龙魔所生的病苦，使三界众生脱离苦海所化现的观音，具有极为威猛的力量，汉译亦名骑犼观音或狮子犼观音。 即朝天 ，为龙生九子之一。
