This magnificent thangka is finely embroidered with the central figure of thousand armed Avalokiteshvara dressed in elaborate robes and adorned with jewelry, with eleven faces and numerous hands extending out with an eye stitched on the hand, surrounded by various attendants and buddhist deities against a landscape of rocks and trees blowing scrolling clouds, all below a panel with inscription stitched in Chinese, Tibetan, Manchurian dated the forty-fifth year of Qianlong.
