A fine quality Royal Worcester ewer, circa 1903

the shouldered ovoid body with panels of scrolls and figures with mask head shields, the gilded handle with griffin heads and further mask, the front panel richly painted with apples and grapes signed Hawkins, the claret ground richly decorated with gilt scrolls and flowers sprays, raised on a pedestal base, with printed green marks to base shape number 1742
