Numerous protruding rings banded along the neck, shoulder, central belly, and foot. Covered overall in Flambe glaze, with attractive red and blue and turquoise-blue toward upper rim on a white porcelain body. The Iridescent blue, purple, splashes and streaks characteristic of this glaze are described as yao bian, or transmutation glaze and resulting from transmutation of colloidal copper, iron, or other metallic materials into suffusions breaking up the glaze surface. The foot rim remain unglazed revealed the orange-brown underglazed ground with dark-grayish spots of firing marks. The central underbase covered in pale-orange-copper underglaze with some spots remain unglazed, shows the unique and attractive celadon spots.
