The exterior decorated in various tones and shades of indigo blue underglaze hand painting of Chinese traditional folklore scene, of a man catching a milky way, borrowed from a famous Tang Dynasty poet, Li Po: "The flying stream plunges three hundred thousand feet, Appearing as if the Milky Way has tumbled down from the Ninth Heaven". Depicted a man on raft beneath a gnarled tree within waterside against a heavenly pavilions.
