The exterior deftly carved with various levels of relief with continuous scene portraying group of elderly sages in various pursuit within bamboo forest against mountainous forest landscape; showing rock-works, pine trees and further foliate. The carving is smooth, displayed its masterly craftsmanship. ChenXiang wood shows golden-honey to dark-brown hued patina.
