19th century. The scepter of ebony or rosewood, of cylindrical form with silver thread forming a diamond pattern, each with a diamond nine dot bone inlay. The ends turned with bone dot borders. Undisturbed surface with rich patina. Minor losses to dot inlays and with an old, now stable, tight hairline crack running horizontal from end to end. 18". Provenance: From a Private collection, many which were decommissioned from The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, New York in the mid 20th century. Condition: Dimensions: 18".
