Meiji period. The first depicting a farmer feeding chickens, a rooster within a cylindrical woven cage on a naturalistic ground, one chicken is detached from base but present, undisturbed surface, good natural patina, 4-1/2". The second depicts a farmer carrying a bundle of wheat sheaves walking with a cane, very good with undisturbed surface and mellow patina, signed below base, 4" tall. The third depicts a figural group of an elderly man feeding his dragon on an oval plinth, the clothing accented with abalone overlays, signed beneath the base, undisturbed surface, mellow patina, dragon missing left eye and part of left horn, 3" x 5". The last and largest is a carving of a father transporting his infant son on his back, a basket attached to his waist, unsigned, mellow patina and undisturbed surface, small section of basket handle missing, 8-1/4". Condition: Dimensions: Largest: 14" x 11 - 1/2".
