Description

Circa 1900, Harrisburg and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. George Staph (1862-1958). Of typical form, nicely, relief carved displayed eagle in the classic Staph manner. Weathered original gilt over gesso base with old red details of later vintage. Old glue repaired horizontal break on proper right wing, not visible from the front. Otherwise, very good condition with fine patina. Condition: Dimensions: 30" x 5".
