A Chinese cinnabar 3-tier box dating from the early 19th century. The sides are carved with flowers and geometric ruyi motifs at the corners. The top depicts 9 figures in a garden setting with rocks and a pine tree. Dimensions are: 3 3/4 inches tall X 12 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are a few small areas of breakage and cracks, mostly at the corners and in the branches of the pine tree. Provenance: From a Las Vegas estate.
