An archaic 4-character Chinese calligraphy couplet in ink on paper dedicated to Bojian. The first calligraphy has 1 seal and the second calligraphy has 2 seals, and each is mounted on a silk backing. Dimensions are: each measures 12 3/4 inches tall X 19 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The paper is very dry and wrinkled and there is minor foxing. Provenance: From the estate of Eulalio Carrera Lowe, first Panamanian Consul General in Guangzhou, China; then in Hong Kong and Macau in 1940s and 1950s.
