该部文献装帧极为奢华，封面采用淡绿色摩洛哥小牛皮烫金装帧，中心镶嵌有镂空雕琢和田玉一件，唯美华丽、典雅精致。是书扉页附陆小曼毛笔跋文“承蒙适师借阅装帧如此精美之字典，封面内置碧玉，镂空雕琢，爱不释手。今读数遍，受益匪浅。阅毕，当之归还。适师知吾心亦知吾认真通读矣。小曼陆眉”此部文献见证民国时期陆小曼与胡适二人之间的真挚友谊。保存较好。注：陆小曼（1903-1965）江苏常州人。近代上海名媛，著名女画家，徐志摩夫人。
