Of globular body with a domed top decorated with radiating petals terminating with an hand-pressed arched handle anchored on the shoulder, the opposite side set with a sprout in the form of an animal head with mouth agape, the body carved in relief depicting pairs of mandarin ducks amid leafy scrolls, glazed overall in a rich ivory glaze with greenish tint pooling in the recesses, the underside pierced with double-aperture, presumably leading into a tube inside the ewer and enabling it to be filled upside down, 7.5 inch high.
