Well potted with globular form with a short waisted neck and beveled mouth, the body boldly painted in black slip with four large peony blooms borne on undulating leafy stem, each flower and leaves enhanced with deftly incised outlines and combed details, all between black bands on the shoulder and around the foot, covered overall with a thin transparent ivory glaze, 9.8 inch high.
