Wood and Hughes silver presentation lidded tureen for Pacific Mail Steamship Company, presented to W.C. Stout, Pacific Mail's Panama agent, the tureen of oval form, with a conforming lid having a looped and beaded finial, inscription on lid reads: "Presented to W.C. Stout By the Commanders of the PMSS Co.
