题识：唐山大兄老先生……制施朝干顿首谨白，二十八日。 |1纸||提要：施朝干，字培叔，一字铁如，号小铁，江苏仪征人。约乾隆四十三年前后在世。乾隆二十八年进士。官至太仆寺卿。六十年充山东乡试正考宫。撤闱后，奉命督学湖北，卒于任。性廉介，不妄交接。官京师时，败车一辆，老屋数椽，忍饥诵经，罕接宾客。朝干少以诗名，王鸣盛刻“吴中十子”诗，以朝干居首。钱大昕、王昶皆甚称之。古文亦简洁有法度。着有《六义斋集》等。
