题识：节弥邵而德弥广，作有度而体有经。铁良。||钤印：铁良之印、宝臣 |说明：铁良，字宝臣，穆尔察氏，满洲镶白旗人。清末大臣。铁良以“知兵”自称。曾为荣禄幕僚。后任户部、兵部侍郎。1903年赴日本考察军事，回国后任练兵大臣，协助袁世凯创设北洋六镇新军。继任军机大臣。1906年任陆军部尚书，与袁世凯争夺北洋新军的统帅权。1910年调任江宁将军。辛亥革命时，防守南京，与革命军作战，并与善耆等皇族成员组织宗社党，反对清帝退位。中华民国建立后，又以“遗老”身份在青岛、大连、天津等地，积极参与清帝复辟活动。
