|笔筒段取紫檀整料旋制而成，造型雄壮，厚壁身重，上手极有分量感。其平唇内直壁，外壁自上而下饰有凸弦纹，下承平底。小叶紫檀多产于热带、亚热带原始森林，以印度小叶紫檀为最优。其木质细腻，密度较大，坚实厚重，且木性稳定，纹理漂亮，韧性极好，更为难得的是，小叶紫檀生长速度极其缓慢，出材率极低，故而又有“寸檀寸金”之说，其价格昂贵，居各木之首，历来为皇室贵族家具专用木材，因此小叶紫檀又被称为“帝王之木”。此件笔筒用料不吝，木料纹理美观，造型端正大方，旋制周正，打磨细腻，尤其金星闪烁其间，极为美观，使观者难以释手。
