A pair of blue and white 'peony' bowls


Kangxi six-character marks and of the periodEach finely potted with rounded sides supported on a short straight foot, painted around the exteriors in vivid shades of cobalt-blue with large peony flowers borne on a dense ground of scrolling foliage, the interiors similarly decorated with peony scrolls enclosed in a central circle medallion, wood stands. Each 11.2cm (4 5/8in) diam. (4).
