Highly Decorative Japanese Carved and Gilded Wooden Rice-Seller's Kanban (Shop Sign), Late 19th / Early 20th C., single-sided, of rice-bail (koku) form with rope edging, the front engraved with an eagle and a mountain, with inscribed character inscriptions, the back hollowed out with metal plate tacked over it.
