|木彫根付 枝豆 銘「正直」 19世紀Provenance: Purchased in Prague, 1966.Published: Katchen, N7, vol.2, p.151, no.K645.The four fully grown pods resting with three young growths attached to a gnarled stalk which forms the himotoshi, the slightly worn wood with a good colour.Edamame is a preparation of immature soybeans in the pod, which are boiled or steamed and served with salt.
