LARGE GILT-BRONZE AND PASTE-SET CLOCK modelled in three tiers as a clock supported on a square plinth, surmounted by a large double-gourd paste-set with the two auspicious characters 'Da Ji' (great fortune) to the upper gourd, and with a large flowerhead surrounded by ten smaller ones to the lower gourd, all below a paste-set pineapple finial, the sides of the clock cast in low relief with an elaborate design of flowers amongst dense foliage, the square plinth with automaton glass rods simulating waterfalls, behind cut-out scenes of cranes amid lotus stems, all raised on four cast paw feet decorated with openwork foliage 97cm high (overall)
