|莲花生是八世纪密宗金刚乘的著名大师，在公元751年与寂护受赤松德赞之邀进入吐蕃传播佛法，被尊为“释迦牟尼第二”。此尊头戴莲花宝冠，中间雕铸摩尼宝及象征理智合一的日月图案，顶饰半杵，两绺束发披于肩臂。面庞圆腴，蹙眉瞋目，相貌威严。身着内外密衣及袒右式袈裟，其上錾刻缠枝花卉，衣纹简洁自然。
