题识：德侠学兄雅属，向楚。钤印：向楚（白）作者简介：向楚（1877—1961），字仙乔（亦作仙樵），号觙公，四川巴县（今重庆市巴南区）人，光绪二十八年（1902年）举人，曾任清内阁中书。19岁入县学，次年以优异成绩考入东川书院，师从前清进士出身的翰林赵熙，致力于汉唐经学和声韵文字学，时人将他与周善培、江庸合称为四川的“老三杰”。因其学术渊闳，于文字、音韵诸学造诣尤深，孙中山先生曾誉其为“儒宗”。
