An unusual Canton vase


19th centuryOf bottle form with a Tibetan-style broad cylindrical mouth and twin elephant head handles, the neck and body decorated with narrative panels of courtly figures reserved on a red geometric-patterned ground, with panels of pairs of birds on fruiting branches reserved on diaper bands at the mouth and shoulder, a further floral scrolling band at the foot.34cm high.
