Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th centuryBoth vases worked in silver wire of varying gauge and forming complementary designs, each decorated with a writhing dragon on a blue ground of dense whorl patterns, the foot and neck with formal floral motifs, the neck of each vase applied with two silver handles in the form of a mythological beast; each vase unsigned. Each vase 11.7cm (4 9/16in) high. (2).
