Of deep rounded sides rising to an everted mouthrim, the center finely penciled in black outline depicting a lively upright dragon and a descending phoenix in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl' amidst cloud scrolls, all above crested waves encircled by a double line border, the cavetto decorated with five striding dragons in similar pursuit, repeated on the exterior with further striding dragons, all picked out in translucent emerald-green enamel, the base with double footring and inscribed with a six-character Wanli mark in underglazed blue, old hairline crack repair, 16.2 inch diameter.
